KMC Ridley MTB racing team

January means a lot of work for us regarding the World Cup Team. It's typically reserved for team presentations, showcasing new gear and sponsors, equipment testing, and preparation for the World Cup and important races.
Starting from this year (2024), we're entering into partnerships with new collaborators. TRP (Tektro Racing Products) components will be featured in what we ride for the current and upcoming seasons. The entire drivetrain, including brakes, is from their premium product line. While it's a mechanical group (electronics are in development), the shifting technology is incredibly smooth, thanks to a special gearbox design and "antivave tooth echnology," minimizing unwanted noise especially when you riding trails.
TRP is well-known and popular in the downhill world for their powerful brakes, and this year they've fully embraced cross country (XCO) racing. KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team is now the official TRP presenter at major global competitions and the Olympics.
Our mechanics have been using and testing TRP components since september of last year, and we can sum up our experience in two words: no complaints.
Key highlights include an extremely lightweight group, comparable to the latest SRAM models, powerful brakes, precise shifting, and the use of carbon cranks and titanium components.
It's worth noting the perfect compatibility of the TRP group with KMC chains, enhancing the riding experience. The seamless integration is a significant plus for both mechanics and riders.
As for Ridley, its reputation in the cycling world speaks for itself. Engineers invest considerable time and effort to create perfect products for racing and recreational cycling, as evidenced by our results in the World Cup.
Moving on to Controltech components, they provide us with lightweight and strong stems, handlebars, and seatposts, offering options for one-piece bars or individual preferences.
Our suspension and wheels come from DT Swiss, a well-known manufacturer of high-quality, durable components. The praise goes to the suspension, known for its durability and efficiency, maintaining peak performance even after skipping service intervals and replacing wear parts over several years, from tuning aspects they are widely open for tuning's and adjustments.
From a mechanic's perspective, I am extremely satisfied with the new partnerships, the overall functionality of the bike, and how straightforward it is to maintain and use these components. We can confidently say, let the 2024 season begin!
