January Preparations for the World Cup Team

January brings intense work for the World Cup Team, covering team presentations, new gear, sponsors, equipment testing, and prep for key races.

This year, we’re excited to announce new partnerships, including TRP (Tektro Racing Products). For 2024 and beyond, our bikes will feature TRP’s premium drivetrain and brakes, known for powerful, smooth performance. The mechanical group showcases TRP’s unique gearbox design and “anti-wave tooth technology” for quiet, trail-ready shifting.

TRP is well-regarded in the downhill community, and this year they’re fully supporting cross-country (XCO) racing. The KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team will represent TRP in major competitions, including the Olympics. Since September, our mechanics have been testing TRP components with impressive results: the lightweight design, powerful brakes, precise shifting, and use of carbon and titanium parts match or exceed market standards.

Notably, the TRP group integrates perfectly with KMC chains, enhancing the rider’s experience with smooth performance and easy maintenance.
