MSM chain lube, what exactly is it and what do we consider special about it?
To start, MSM chain lube was developed after more than two years of testing, research, and searching for the perfect formula. The idea emerged after not finding a product on the market that satisfied us as riders across various parameters. Since we also race and ride a lot ourselves, we sought a product that primarily wouldn't harm the chain and equipment, wouldn't accumulate dirt, would be easy to wash and clean, and, of course, would provide low friction.
We then slowly began thinking, and soon after came the first test sample, followed by series of test bottles until we found the right formula and started production and sales. MSM chain lube is currently handcrafted from raw materials to the final product. The batches are small, and the raw materials come from the local community. Everything takes place in Croatia, in Požega.
The product is envisioned as a premium race version of the lube, and in that, we have succeeded. MSM chain lube does not contain additives or harmful components for health; it is natural and efficient. It does not collect impurities on the chain and equipment, and it can be cleaned only with water and a towel, without the use of detergents and degreasers because their long-term use can damage the bike and equipment, as we have already mentioned several times in our blog. Currently, we haven't delved too much into "how many watts we save" by using our lube because the most important thing is that the chain remains clean and safe for the next use.
Our super liquid formula stands out from other manufacturers we find on the market because we believe that every drop of oil should count, and with MSM chain lube, that's what happens: every drop goes exactly where it needs to be, which is inside the chain. There is no need for it to stay on top, and likewise, there is no need to lubricate the chain from the top and bottom, which is seen as necessary with many other manufacturers. Efficiency is our top priority. During this year's Cape Epic, when using our lube, there was no need to re-lube during the stage because MSM chain lube did an excellent job even in extreme conditions such as rain and mud, and in extreme proportions.
